The 5 Most Popular Double Lounger Hot Tubs
1 - Best Overall - Clearwater Spas Orlando
The Orlando from Clearwater Spas is one of the most spacious, versatile, and highly featured double lounger hot tubs I've ever seen. The attention to detail is clear in everything from the hardwearing cabinet (with advanced full-foam insulation) and aesthetic design to the corner seat lounger configuration and water care features. Overall, it's very difficult to look past this tub when shopping for a new spa.
Specification and Extras
The Clearwater Spas Orlando utilizes 107 jets in a range of styles and positions to provide a world-class full-body spa experience. The lounger seats themselves each have around 30 stainless steel jets to soothe the neck, back, shoulders, feet, thighs, and calves.
This model really excels in lounger massage quality with multiple jets aimed at each muscle group for true deep-tissue hydrotherapy. The other main seating positions focus largely on the back, neck, and shoulders, using varied jets (including larger jets to provide maximum power to problem areas.
If relaxation and entertainment are your main focus, the Orlando hot tub feature set is just as impressive in this regard. The retractable water features, LED mood lighting inside and out, illuminated cup holders, and optional ClearPlay Bluetooth audio system all easily match the other offerings on the market. But, there's one Orlando hot tub feature that the others don't have. It comes with a removable central "bistro table" with extra room for drinks and snacks!
2 - Best For Design Features - Dimension One Spas Diplomat
Dimension One Spas pride themselves on a combination of hardwearing construction, eye-catching design, and superior relaxation.
The Diplomat forms part of their luxury "Reflections" hot tub line and certainly lives up to the sales pitch.
Specifications and Extras
The Diplomat features three of Dimension One's excellent Flex Therapy pillows, one in each of the loungers and one in an upright massage seat. These use specialized jets to deliver an outstanding neck massage, while the adjustable and interchangeable Accent jets provide deep-tissue therapy for the back, shoulders, calves, and feet. The comfortable seating and extra wrist jets in the Ultra Lounge station make this everyone's favorite spot.
One area where Dimension One Spas really stand out is their Liquid FX system. This uses a combination of LED lighting and interchangeable water features to create beautiful displays to enhance your spa experience for either relaxation or entertainment purposes. Alongside the hardwearing, high gloss Ultralife shell (complete with textured Tactile Therapy floor), and stylish Terracina cabinet design, Liquid FX turns your hot tub space into a real showpiece.
Dimension One luxury spas also include their UltraPure cartridge-based water care system as standard, keeping your water clean and clear with a fraction of the chemicals and in less time than basic systems.
3 - Best For Customized Massage - Bullfrog Spas A8D
The Bullfrog Spas A8D is the largest of the models in my review and has room for 5 hydrotherapy massage seats (plus one cooldown seat). The lounge seats themselves are differently shaped, with one premium bent-knee lounger and the other designed for a more elongated position. This is one of the most popular double-lounger hot tubs to purchase, due to a couple of unique features.
Specifications And Extras
The main feature which sees Bullfrog Spas as a market leader is the individual, interchangeable JetPaks at each massage station. These can be purchased with a host of different stainless steel jet configurations and are easily interchanged, providing more complete control over the hydrotherapy experience than their rivals.
In addition to the excellent neck, back, and shoulder massage jets in the JetPaks, the A8D also has 16 wrist, hip, leg, and foot jets for ultimate full-body relaxation.
The only reason the Bullfrog spas A8D isn't my overall top pick is based on value and pricing transparency. Several key features which are included as standard in the Clearwater and Dimension One models are only offered as paid extras by Bullfrog spas. Advanced water care (e.g. the WellSpring Ozonator and the circulation pump) is where this makes the biggest difference. These features are important as they ensure optimum water quality using fewer chemicals and with reduced maintenance.
However, if you have sufficient budget space to factor in these extras (and maybe even one of their state of the art sound-systems while you're at it), Bullfrog Spas hot tubs certainly stand up in terms of quality and are a great option all around.
4 - Best Spa For Smaller Spaces - Caldera Spas Provence
The Provence model from Caldera Spas is primarily designed with couples in mind, although it comfortably seats 4. It's smaller than some of the other tubs in these reviews, so uses less energy, but certainly doesn't skimp on massage features or individual luxury.
Specifications And Extras
One of the main attractions of the Provence is the his-and-hers lounger seating. One lounger is longer than the other so people of differing heights can both lie out and relax whilst both having complete access to the Sole Soother foot jets. The longer lounger is fitted with the awesome Atlas neck massage system and powerful Ultra Lounge back jets, whilst the other uses the Ecstaseat system comprising a higher number of smaller jets.
Both loungers give a very soothing calf massage but, if you want a more intensive deep-tissue therapy for the legs, one of the upright seats features Caldera's patented Euphoria jet. All of this runs off two pumps, which are plenty given the smaller overall water capacity.
The perfect warm temperature is maintained by a titanium heater, which uses less energy due to FiberCor full foam insulation. The Provence is also fitted with a FreshWater salt system for improved water feel with fewer chemicals, and an Ozonator is offered as an optional extra.
In terms of entertainment features, the Provence has an LED-lit Acquarella waterfall as standard and the optional Bluetooth sound system offers six-speaker surround sound.
5 - Best Plug-And-Play spa - Dynasty Spas DL416
This DL416 from Dynasty Spas' Hideaway range is the only plug-and-play hot tub in my review. It can be run from a standard 110V household electrical outlet, which simplifies on-site installation and increases portability.
Simply fill the hot tub with a garden hose, plug in the power cord, switch on, and relax.
Plug-and-play hot tubs are a great choice if your budget is limited or if you may wish to relocate your hot tub e.g. for those in rented accommodation.
However, using a household electrical supply means less energy is available for pumps and to heat the water.
Therefore, the system is more basic than in 230V spas and the hot tub won't give the same level of hydrotherapy massage.
Specifications and Extras
The Dynasty Spas DL416 double-lounger hot tub has quite an impressive feature set compared to other spas in the same price bracket. Fountain jets, LED lighting, and UV water sanitization are all included as standard, whereas these features are usually optional extras for budget/entry-level hot tubs.
In terms of massage, there are fewer jets than in the other spas reviewed here. However, each of the lounge seating positions is still configured to provide effective relaxation via back massage and foot jets. The third (upright) seat has two centrally aligned stainless steel back jets.

The Final Verdict
Any of these double lounger hot tubs would be a great option, depending on your budget, space, etc. However, tubs with loungers also have different sizes and designs of seats, so try out a couple of models for comfort before you sign to complete the purchase. The sales process often includes the chance of a "wet test" and you don't want to wait for shipping, delivery, and installation only to find yourself unable to relax once your double lounger hot tub does arrive.
